For LAN Setup:

  • Define the following parameters:
    • IPv4 mode
    • IP address
    • Netmask

    • Primary and secondary server

For Ethernet Interface Setup:

  • Configure:
    • IP address

  • The dashboard will display the defined measurements and data points being monitored.

Step 4: Configuring easYgen-3000XT

To receive data from the easYgen-3000XT, configure the device to use Modbus protocol 5016, which is the communication protocol used by 101 Solutions.

Step 5: Viewing Data and Reports

  • Data Section: View the configured data points and check which ones are actively sending values.
  • Report Section: Download various data, alarm messages, and system properties in multiple formats.
  •

Step 6: Managing Alarms

  • Messages Section:
    • View an overview of your customized alarms.
    • Define alarm rules and specify phone numbers to be contacted in case of an alarm.

VPN Connectivity Option

The DCB-4.0 offers an optional VPN connection for direct communication with the easYgen device. Key details about VPN:

  • VPN is activated via an application and creates a secure, direct connection to the easYgen.
  • This feature can be remotely activated for a one-time cost of €50.
  • Note that VPN generates significant data traffic. For VPN users, a 1000MB SIM card is used instead of the standard 3MB SIM card.

SIM Card Options

Option 1: 101 Solutions SIM Card

  • 101 Solutions uses Telenor SIM cards, which offer robust connectivity by utilizing multiple providers in one country.
  • In Germany, for example, Telenor SIM cards automatically connect to the strongest available network (O2, Vodafone, or Telekom Deutschland).
  • Using the 101 SIM card ensures that connectivity issues can be diagnosed and resolved by 101 Solutions.

Option 2: Customer-Supplied SIM Card

  • Customers may choose to use their own SIM card.
  • If using a customer-supplied SIM card:
    • The cost of purchasing a SIM card is waived.
    • The monthly fee will cover only hosting the web portal, not SIM card usage.
    • Note: Diagnosing connectivity issues is limited if the customer’s SIM card is used.

Summary

By following these steps, you can successfully connect and configure the easYgen-3000XT with the DCB-4.0 for seamless remote monitoring. Should you have any questions or encounter issues during setup, please reach out to 101 Solutions for support.
