Packaging and Shipping Guidelines for easYgen and LS-5 or LS-6XT

作成者一覧

Is the easYgen-3000XT and LS-6XT packaging designed for shipping as a single unit without requiring an additional outer box?

According to our packaging supplier, the single packaging for the easYgen-3000XT is designed to be suitable for shipping as a separate package. However, this does not guarantee protection against potential mishandling by couriers and carriers.

To address this, we analyzed delivery methods (e.g., parcel processing at DHL sorting centers) and determined that the best solution is to use additional / outer collective (bulk) packaging for easYgen products. This includes adding bubble wrap or similar filling for extra protection against shocks, vibrations, and instability.

Note: This issue does not apply to LS-5xx units, which have to be shipped in larger collective (bulk) packages.

Additional Notes:
For enhanced protection, we secure easYgen products with the following additional measures:

  • An outer box / bulk packaging for collective shipments.

  • Bubble wrap filling to protect against shocks and vibrations.

Are there specific considerations or limitations we should keep in mind, such as suitability for sea freight?
The current packaging meets the requirements for sea and inland transport. However, for sea freight, it is recommended to include a moisture absorber to protect the product from humidity.

So far, we have not encountered any issues with sea freight shipments of cardboard-packaged products. Typically, external companies provide additional protection such as wooden crates, moisture absorbers, and vibration sensors when shipping via sea.
