Woodward service tools such as AppManager and Servlink OPC Server (SOS) communicate with Woodward controls through ethernet communications.  Ethernet communications require a valid IP address and open ports for communication to be successful.  Firewalls and other security software can often block these ports which can lead to communications issues or dropouts.  Attached to this article is a PDF which details the required ports and can be used by IT personnel in firewall configuration.
